It is amazing another year has come to a close. It is always a good idea to reflect upon the year and recall what God did in and through your life. Dawn and I prayed for many people for inner healing and deliverance. Many of those sessions were online through Zoom. The people we prayed for experienced great freedom and healing.

Another great highlight during the year were my ministry trips to Washington State. I preached at multiple venues and a tent revival. God showed off His power. A woman who was carrying a 50 year old emotional wound was instantly healed. In the spirit realm, a man saw dirt and debris pour out of his ears and he began to clearly hear the voice of God. Another lady received major freedom from a spirit of death.

A miracle of healing occurred when we prayed for a woman who had severe pain in her left arm. Another lady had constant back and neck pain. She had fallen down stairs some years ago and broke her back and neck. She was able to walk, but she suffered with great pain. After she received prayer, she testified and said, “I saw something like a snake leave my spine and neck. I don’t hurt any more. I know a spirit of infirmity left.”

Dawn and I want to say thank you to every person who has helped us in our ministry call. We would not be able to continue to be full time ministers without your prayers, help, and support. May the Lord bless you abundantly in the name of Jesus.

Humans are born into a war. Life is full of battles. Your war is a spiritual conflict against evil principalities and powers. The Scriptures say in Ephesians 6:12, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” However, the Bible gives us strategies on how to be victorious over the trials of life. One of the strategies is to be thankful.

King David wrote in Psalm 24:7-8: “Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.” In this Psalm, David is telling the gates to open so the Lord who is mighty in battle can come in.

We are then told in Psalm 100:4, “Enter into His [God’s] gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.”

When you give thanks to the Lord, you enter into the gates where the Lord mighty in battle is located. When you are in the presence of God by putting thanksgiving on your lips and in your hearts, the Lord begins to fight your conflicts. Make it a lifestyle to thank the Lord throughout each day. As you do, you will find this is a great strategy for life’s battles.

In the month of October, Israel declared war on Hamas. This has put into motion a number of frightening scenarios that can cause a person much anxiety. In the Bible, King David experienced a war that was devastating to him and his people. David’s city was burned with fire, and their wives, sons, and daughters were taken captive (1 Samuel 30:3). David and his soldiers were greatly distressed, but David strengthened himself in the Lord his God (1 Samuel 30:6).

One way to strengthen yourself in the Lord is by holding onto and declaring Scriptures. I want to share with you a few verses you can use if you find yourself growing fearful during these uncertain times.

Psalm 91:9-10 (NKJV): Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, even the Most High, your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling.

Psalm 23:4 (NKJV): Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Exodus 14:13-14 (NKJV): And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.”

In the month of September, Dawn and I had a wonderful ministry friend named Lorelei Harris pass into glory. She was in her seventies. Last month, another ministry friend named Shirley Culver passed on. She was 98. Regardless of somebody living a long, fruitful life, it is still difficult for the people they leave behind. It is normal and healthy to grieve and mourn their departure. However, how should we, or for how long should we mourn? The Scriptures seems to give us a blueprint for Biblical mourning.

First, people mourned differently during Biblical times than we do now. The people wept and wailed loudly (Mark 5:38). They had flute players and noisy crowds wailing (Matthew 9:23). They released all their emotions in dramatic style without bottling or stuffing their feelings.

Second, the Bible indicates a person should only mourn for a deceased person anywhere from 1-77 days. In 2 Samuel 1:11-12, David and his men mourned, wept, and fasted for a day at the death of Saul and Jonathan. The children of Israel wept for Moses for 30 days until the days of weeping and mourning had ended (Deuteronomy 34:8). The Egyptians mourned 77 days for the passing of Jacob (Genesis 50:3, 10).

The passing of friends and family is never easy. However, if you experience this sort of situation do not let the grief and mourning linger for years or it could effect you in an unhealthy manner.

During the month of August, I stayed nine days in Spokane, WA. I preached seven times at multiple venues. The Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit moved in a powerful way. The first miracle occurred when we prayed for a woman in her seventies. She had injured her arm and hand. It was so painful she wanted to drive home. We prayed, and all the pain left her arm. She stayed for the entire event and testified of her healing.

Another woman in the audience was in constant back and neck pain. She told us she fell down stairs some years ago and broke her back and neck. She was previously in a wheelchair, but the Lord had been healing her. She was able to walk, but suffered with great pain. During the service, I prayed for her. She testified and said, “I saw something like a snake leave my spine and neck. I don’t hurt any more. I know a spirit of infirmity left.”

During a food bank outreach I prayed for a woman in her forties. While I prayed, her eyes rolled back into her head and she began to shake violently. It looked like an epileptic seizure, but it was a demon leaving her body. Twenty years prior she had lived a very dark lifestyle. Jesus set her free and she left with a radiant smile. I also prayed for a man in his fifties at the outreach and a very similar occurrence happened to him as well.

God is moving powerfully upon the earth today. I encourage you to step out in boldness and begin to pray for people. The Lord is looking forward to moving through you.

In the month of July I had the wonderful opportunity to preach at a tent revival outside of Spokane, WA. The people in attendance were very hungry to receive a fresh touch from the Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and Holy Spirit. The Lord was faithful to answer His word from Matthew 5:6 when Jesus said, “Blessed  are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.”

A woman who was carrying a 50 year old emotional wound was instantly healed. In the spirit realm, a man saw dirt and debris pour out of his ears and he began to clearly hear the voice of God. A woman received major freedom from a spirit of death. The death spirit had already killed many people in her family including her daughter four months ago. People had visions of heaven, saw in the spirit, and prophesied over each other according to 1 Corinthians 14:4.

I also preached at a church just outside of Seattle, Washington. God moved in such a powerful way. Many people were blessed as a new level of freedom, power, and authority invaded their lives.

I believe God is pouring out His Spirit on all flesh as stated in Joel 2:28. The Lord is looking for people to empower during this time. God wants to use you for His glory in order to bring freedom to other people. All you have to do is be a yielded vessel and God will fill you up so you can pour out on others.

Dawn and I work a lot in the inner healing field. We minister to a variety of internally broken people. Individuals become damaged due to abuses, traumas, or not getting their needs met. This can result in the person splintering in their soul realm. Perhaps you have heard of multiple personality disorder, now known as dissociative identity disorder.

A similar situation can occur when an infant or baby does not get their needs met. The human will develop physically, but the neglected or traumatized part stays stuck in the infant age. This is why people act like toddlers when they get triggered even though they are grown adults.

During a trigger, the logical, adult brain takes a back seat while the child brain takes over. Perhaps you saw the Washington Nationals’ professional baseball team’s manager, Davey Martinez throw the temper tantrum when he didn’t get the call he wanted in June, 2023.

At some point, every person has experienced a version of trauma they need healing of. One way to receive the healing is to have Jesus bring compassion into that area. In Matthew 14:14 the Bible says, “And when Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick.” Jesus wants to bring His compassion into your life in order to heal your spirit, soul, and body.

In the month of May, Dawn and I had numerous ministry opportunities. On Memorial Day, we reflected on the fallen soldiers who fought and died in order to gift us the liberties we enjoy. Memorial Day is a holiday created to honor and remember the U.S. military personnel who have died in service. Many people visit cemeteries on Memorial Day. You can also see American flags placed at grave sites and flying in downtown centers.

I believe it is very important to remember and honor the men and women who have fought and died for our nation. Jesus said in John 15:13 (New King James Version), "Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends." When you think about what the fallen soldiers have done, they laid down their lives so we can experience a greater level of freedom.

Three of my five brothers have served in the U.S. Army. Two of the three are Airborne. My youngest brother has done military training in India and Thailand. He also spent a year in Iraq. I am proud of my brothers for serving in the military.

It is up to the living generations to remember the great sacrifice our soldiers have given throughout the centuries. More importantly, we must not lose the freedoms they fought and died for. When you see a veteran in any military branch, be sure to thank them.

Each month Dawn and I pray for numerous people through Zoom or face to face. The end result of the prayers is to bring emotional, spiritual, and physical healing to the individual while connecting them to the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. In one session this month we prayed for a 41 year old man named “Alex.”

Alex grew up in a family who had a very abusive mother. During the session he had a profound vision. Alex had a flashback to when he was a young boy. He saw his mom standing over him yelling and saying hurtful words. The words were like a whip striking against him. He could see the deep wounds on his little body.

In the vision, Alex began to grow up. He went from a child to a teenager and then to an adult. All along in his life his mother continued to verbally and emotionally abuse him. Her words continued to cut deep wounds and tear him apart. By the time he reached adulthood he was covered in scars and open wounds. That was when Jesus stepped into Alex’s vision. He saw Jesus’ body bloody and full of stripes from the Roman whips. Jesus then quickened Alex to Isaiah 53:5d, …“And by His stripes we are healed.”

Jesus began to heal the deep wounds his mother had caused him over the years. It was at this moment Alex was able to see the power of Jesus’ crucifixion and what He did for humanity. Regardless of the trauma, abuse, or physical infirmity, Jesus has the power to heal.

In the past month, pockets of revival and outpouring have been springing up all over the United States and numerous countries. Kentucky saw a mighty move at Ausbury University resulting in thousands of people flocking to receive a touch from the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. This outpouring quickly spread across the globe. 

It appears a move of the Holy Spirit is on the Lord’s heart. The movie, Jesus Revolution also hit the theaters and played nationwide. This movie is centered around the great, Jesus People Movement in the 1960s and 70s. During this time, thousands of people left the drug culture to experience a true encounter with Christ. There are many documented miracles from this move of God.

The Bible gives us insight into the last day outpouring. Joel 2:28-29 says, “…I [God] will pour out My Spirit on all flesh… 29 And also on My  menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.” Are we about to witness another great awakening?

If we are in fact getting ready to see a great outpouring from God, what should we do individually to prepare? Farmers prepare their fields for harvest. Fishermen prepare their nets to catch. Ask the Lord if there are practical steps He wants you to do to be ready for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

One portion of the ministry Dawn and I are called to do is to help people receive freedom from emotional and physical trauma, abuse, or pain. Keep in mind the Bible teaches that humans are a three part being. Humans consist of a spirit, soul, and body. (See 1 Thessalonians 5:23.)

Many of the people we minister to have a personal relationship with the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Despite their relationship with God, people come to us to receive liberty from trauma. Dawn and I are able to help them get unstuck and renew their minds. The Apostle Paul’s words in Romans 12:2 are applicable to all people when he said, “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

In one prayer session this month Dawn and I prayed for a woman in her seventies. She was molested by a family member when she was five. That was a significant trauma in her life. We were able to lead her into an encounter with the Lord. Jesus revealed Himself to that five year old girl in a powerful way.

The Lord showed “Carol” in a vision how the enemy had held her in bondage due to the trauma. Carol say herself as the five year old girl. She was surrounded by briars and thorns in every direction. She was trapped with no escape. Jesus entered the scene and was able to rescue Carol from her childhood trauma. Carol experienced an instant healing inside of her. Jesus is still healing people today as He did when He walked the earth.

Dawn and I have the wonderful privilege of praying for people from around the United States and foreign nations. We primarily use Zoom to conduct the one-on-one prayer sessions. We encounter people of all ages and diverse backgrounds. In one session this month, we prayed for a man in his seventies. He is a very gifted musician and worship leader at his church. “Brad” has had a personal relationship with the Lord for over 50 years.

Despite his many spiritual gifts, skills, abilities, and Bible sermons, he had a dark cloud hanging over him. This cloud had followed him for most of his life. A large component of the cloud stemmed from a relationship he had when he was 16 years old. He got his girlfriend pregnant in high school. They couldn’t keep the baby, but made the correct decision in adopting the child out. Those series of events formed a blanket of shame that he wore. Brad didn’t even know it was wrapped on him for over 55 years.

Regardless of a person’s physical age or spiritual maturity, there can still be trauma weighing them down. Therefore, I believe it is important to receive regular “spiritual check-ups” like a person would with a doctor. A “spiritual doctor” can help diagnose and remove deep wounds tormenting a person. As a physical doctor can cut out a cancerous tumor, so too, a spiritual doctor can help heal festering wounds of trauma, torment, and shame. A natural doctor uses a scalpel, but a spiritual doctor uses the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.
