Removing the Unholy Mixture

The Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit are cleansing the church. According to Ephesians 5:26-27 Jesus is sanctifying and cleansing His bride while removing spot and wrinkle so she should be Holy and without blemish. God is removing unholy mixtures in people.

If you are desiring a personal or global revival, unholy mixtures of evil influencing you needs to be removed. We see an example of this in I Kings 17-18. The Prophet Elijah proclaimed a drought over the land that lasted three and a half years (1 Kings 17:1, James 5:17-18). The drought happened because Israel had forsaken God and turned to worship the false god, Baal. Israel had an unholy mixture polluting their relationship with God.

Elijah called all the people together and said, “How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him (1 Kings 18:21).” Elijah then had a victorious showdown with the false prophets. After the unholy mixture was removed, it began to pour rain (1 Kings 18:45).

In the Bible, rain or water is symbolic of the Holy Spirit. As you press in for a global outpouring of the Holy Spirit pray for the removal of unholy mixtures so the latter rain can pour (Zechariah 10:1). God promised in Joel 2:28-29 that He will pour out His Spirit on all flesh. It is time for the church to remove the unholy mixture staining us so God’s Spirit can freely flow.
