During the month of June I started preaching weekly at an outdoor home church. I have been teaching from the Book of Psalms, in particular the ones written by David. I choose Psalms because they are so practical for us today. The authors poured their hearts out to God, cried for help, confessed their struggles, and showed their frailty as humans. This Book is also ripe with opportunities to encounter the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit in a deep and personal way.

David wrote approximately 75 of the 150 Psalms recorded in the Bible. As you study David’s life, you will see that he was a man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22). He was also one of the fiercest warriors who has ever lived upon the earth. He did great exploits like killing a bear, lion, and Goliath the giant (1 Samuel 17:36). His ability to due these remarkable feats stemmed directly from his deep relationship with the Lord. David was one of the most passionate worshipers of God in human history.

David was a perfect example of what the Bible says in Daniel 11:32b, “...but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” David knew God like few people do. As a result of that relationship, he was made strong and carried out great exploits. As you move forward in life, really get to know God. Go beyond a head knowledge or book understanding, but get to know what God is saying, thinking, and doing. When you do, you will find the Lord will make you strong, so you can carry out great exploits.

You can watch the preaching videos on Youtube.

While reading the Bible in the Book of Proverbs, a certain verse caught my attention. It seems very practical for the time we are living in. Proverbs 15:15 (NLT) says, “For the despondent, every day brings trouble; for the happy heart, life is a continual feast.” The word, “Despondent” means, “feeling or showing extreme discouragement, dejection, or depression.” When difficulties and bizarreness seem to be increasing each day, it can be difficult to avoid feeling discouraged or depressed. However, this is not supposed to be the portion for those who follow the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.

The verse in Proverbs continues and says, “...For the happy heart, life is a continual feast.” As followers of the Lord, our portion is to have a happy heart and continual feast regardless of the circumstances surrounding us. However, this can be much easier to say than live. This is why I want to give you two Scriptures to ponder if you find yourself becoming discouraged or depressed.

Psalm 2:4 (NLT)“But the one who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them.” God is ruling the universe seated in heaven.  He is laughing at the plans of the enemy and scoffing at them. The enemy will not be victorious over the Lord.
Zephaniah 3:17 c-d (NLT)“...With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” The Lord wants to calm you of all fears with His perfect love. Ponder this, and live a life of feasting.

I believe the year of 2024 is one of the most significant years in American history. Followers of Jesus all over the nation are feeling it as well, and prayer groups are mobilizing. In the month of April, I attended a large prayer gathering at the state capitol in Oregon. Intercessors from every U.S. State congregated at their state capitols to pray as well. Nationwide, over 20,000 people assembled to pray for America.

There were about 1,000 prayer warriors who met in Salem, Oregon. The group who organized the event is known as #dontmesswithourkids. Their mission is to pray, fast, and stand for families. Jenny Donnelly, the founder of the movement said, “Families are being ripped apart at the seams by an agenda determined to sexualize our kids.”

While at the event in Salem, I was able to join others from around Oregon to pray for the well being of America. I was also one of the few to have a booth table at the event. This enabled me to speak with people, pray for individuals, and talk about my books, “Declaring the U.S. Constitution,” “Declaring the Bill of Rights,” and “Declaring Amendments 11-27.”

If there was ever a time for you to rise up in your faith and pray for the United States, now is the time. Your prayers will help transform America and shape history. It is time to arise and shine. (See Isaiah 60:1.)

Is Your Temple Infested?

In the month of February, Dawn and I discovered a horrible reality. Inside the ministry guest house where we are staying, was lurking a disaster that was occurring deep down. There was a water leak that ended up destroying the entire bathroom floor, hallway, and kitchen.

When we began to pull up the floors, we discovered the issues. Under the vinyl flooring was a thick layer of black mold. The subfloor had also rotted away. It was at this moment that Jesus’ words made practical sense. Jesus said in Matthew 23:27“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness."

If a person looked at the place where Dawn and I are living, they would have never known what was happening on the inside, underneath, and deep down. Jesus’ message to the scribes and Pharisees would be the same. The outside looked clean and painted, but inside was filthiness and rotting corpses.

Due to the limited finances, Dawn and I are doing some of the renovation. During the process, there has been a deep spiritual message. What does the inside of my life look like? Have I painted or covered up filthiness just to look good on the outside? I am now searching inside myself to see what I need to take to Jesus. I encourage you to do the same. Ask Jesus if there is hidden sin in your life needing repentance, so the inner rot can be healed.

New Beginnings

By Nathan D. Pietsch

Check out our Photo Gallery from January, 2024.

Note: The following testimonies and photos are for the Glory of God and His Goodness. It is wonderful to partner with the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit to help people move from dark to light, bondage to freedom, and struggle to destiny.

It is the start of a new year and many people have a list of goals and resolutions they hope to accomplish. January is often considered a month of “new beginnings.” It is a time to get a fresh start and plan for an amazing year ahead. Jesus said in the Book of Revelation 21:5“Behold, I make all things new (NKJV).” One of the definitions of the word, “new” from the Webster Dictionary is, “being other than the former or old.”

Jesus is the only One who has the ability to make “all things new.” Jesus is able to take our old and former years of heartbreak and transform them into something new and wonderful. Jesus has the ability to bring new life to a burned out drug addict. Jesus is capable of restoring years of verbal, emotional, or physical abuse.

We are also told in 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV), “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” Jesus is able to take our old, messed up lives and transform us into new creations in Him. If you have never received Jesus into your heart and made Him your personal Lord and Savior, now is the time. When you do, you will become a new creation in Christ.

As Jesus said, “I make all things new,” think about areas in your life that you desire Jesus to “make new” for you. He is able to do the miraculous in any person’s life.
