It is the start of a new year and many people have a list of goals and resolutions they hope to accomplish. January is often considered a month of “new beginnings.” It is a time to get a fresh start and plan for an amazing year ahead. Jesus said in the Book of Revelation 21:5, “Behold, I make all things new (NKJV).” One of the definitions of the word, “new” from the Webster Dictionary is, “being other than the former or old.”
Jesus is the only One who has the ability to make “all things new.” Jesus is able to take our old and former years of heartbreak and transform them into something new and wonderful. Jesus has the ability to bring new life to a burned out drug addict. Jesus is capable of restoring years of verbal, emotional, or physical abuse.
We are also told in 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV), “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” Jesus is able to take our old, messed up lives and transform us into new creations in Him. If you have never received Jesus into your heart and made Him your personal Lord and Savior, now is the time. When you do, you will become a new creation in Christ.
As Jesus said, “I make all things new,” think about areas in your life that you desire Jesus to “make new” for you. He is able to do the miraculous in any person’s life.
