Go: Testimonies from the front lines :: Non-fiction Book

By Dawn Pietsch

As most of you know, Nathan and I have been traveling the United States as missionaries for the past three years or so. We have had an amazing journey. Well, we (mostly Nathan) has written a book about the crazy, awesome encounters we have had along the way. The book is called, Go: Testimonies from the front lines.

We have a strong offer to co-publish the book through Charisma Media (www.charismamedia.com).  This is actually a really big ordeal, and quite an accomplishment. However, since we're pretty much no-namers as book authors, they are requiring us to purchase 3,500 books from them on the first-run printing.

If you are interested in learning more about the book, or in a sense pre-ordering it, check out our, Go Get Funding page (very similar to Kickstarter) at:
http://www.gogetfunding.com/project/go-testimonies-from-the-front-lines-non-fiction-book.

Even if you're not really interested in this project yourself, maybe you know somebody who would be?  We would greatly appreciate any referrals you might be able to offer. We feel like we are close to a major breakthrough, and would love your help.

Thank you.

November, 2012 :: Update From the Mission Field

By Dawn Pietsch

Being “IN” Christ Jesus All the Time

In the month of November, there is a big focus on Thanksgiving! What are we truly thankful for? As believers, our main focus should be on Jesus Christ, the finished work of the cross, and His death, burial, and resurrection.

What does this mean? Jesus’ death can mean, dying to oneself. His burial can mean, letting it all go, and keeping it all buried. His resurrection can mean a new life “IN” Christ Jesus! Being in Christ Jesus doesn’t only mean a new life, but a life that is exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us! (See Ephesians 3:20.)

We have so much by being “IN” Christ Jesus! In 3 John 1:2, the Bible says—
2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

This verse is pretty exciting to me! It shows that we are loved beyond measure. It also shows that the Heavenly Father wants us to prosper in all things, including our health! Wow! The Bible says that God wants our souls to prosper too. Our souls make up our minds, wills, and emotions.

If we are operating with the mind of Christ (see 1 Corinthians 2:16b), we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us! (See Philippians 4:13.) And all things are possible to him who believes! (See Mark 9:23.)

The Bible also says in John 14:12—
12 Most assuredly, I [Jesus] say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

Jesus is giving you and I permission to do greater works for His Kingdom.

When we operate “IN” Him, we do His will. The Bible is full of great verses that give us the ability to walk “IN” Him. We are called, sanctified, and preserved “IN” Christ Jesus. (See Jude 1:1.) God does it all for us! And He is even able to keep us from stumbling, and to present us faultless before Him, with exceeding joy! (See Jude 1:24.) God is also giving us permission to have fun while we do this! The Bible says in Nehemiah 8:10, for the joy of the Lord is our strength.

This is a great reminder of, “Tis the Season to be Jolly!” We all have much to be joyful and thankful for. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith! (See Hebrews 12:2.)

We bless and thank you all for all your prayers and provisions that have enabled us to be missionaries and bring the Kingdom of God to the streets, and wherever the Lord takes us. Abundant blessings to you.

Love,
Nathan and Dawn

October, 2012: Update from the Mission Field

By Dawn R. Pietsch

It is an honor to be writing to you. There have been a number of wonderful things taking place with Nathan and I. Lord willing, we are glad to announce we are planning on launching a Kickstarter (www.kickstarter.com) project in the next couple of weeks.

Nathan has written a book entitled, Go: Testimonies from the Front Lines.  We believe it could be a very powerful book. Nathan has gotten offers to co-publish through Charisma Media.  However, we are required to purchase a large number of books from the first printing.  This is why we are planning on making a Kickstarter project. Stay tuned for more info on the book and project.

During the last few months since we left New Orleans, Nathan and I have been in a new season of our ministry. What we have learned out on the streets can be practical steps for all of us.

We have been shown how our “souls” have been effected by: hurts, traumas, and unforgiveness. The wounds have kept us from being healed and set free. If the soul gets set free, then healing will come forth. (John 8:36.)

Our souls consist of: our mind, will, and emotions. Until our spirits were made alive through a relationship with Jesus Christ, our souls are what we operated in. When we are in Christ, we now have the mind of Christ, and need to submit our wills, and emotions to Him. (I Corinthians 2:16b.)

Our souls are what we are battling in the flesh. We do what we don’t want to do, and we don’t do what we should. (Romans 7:15-18.) The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. (Mark 14:38.)

Our minds are like computers with data bases. They remember information from years past, and when we get into a situation that seems similar, our minds will recall this information. This can be good, and can also be bad.

Just say that we had an incident where we were hurt by a friend, let’s say by some gossip that was said about us. It really wounded us. We have a choice at that moment to choose to forgive them, plead the blood of Jesus over us and the situation, and ask Jesus to remove the wound. If we do this, we can be set free immediately.

But what happens all to often is we harbor resentment and unforgiveness until it gets way out of hand.  Next thing you know, you can hardly look at that person, nor talk to them. If this progresses, we start getting negative and critical of people, we loose our peace, we start feeling tired, eventually we can even get sick. Why? Because the bible says that if we don’t forgive, then... our sins are not forgiven. (Matt 6:15.) The enemy is our adversary, prowling around like a lion, ready to devour you! (I Peter 5:8.) Don’t give the enemy a foothold that can turn into a stronghold!

Jesus paid the price at the cross for us with His shed blood to forgive us of our sins. (John 19:28.) But we must receive what He did for us. The bible says, that by His stripes—or wounds—we are healed! (1 Peter 2:24.) But once again, we must receive what He did for us. You must ask Him to remove the wounds from your soul. If this is done, we not only will be set free from our sins, but healed from the wounds also. If we do this immediately, we won’t have to go back and remove all those strongholds in our lives.

We realize this seems elementary, but we see this issue out on the streets all the time, and even in our own lives.

God Bless you all, and may your holidays be amazing...

Acts 4:12

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Salvation is only found in Jesus Christ.

June, 2012 Update

By Nathan D. Pietsch

June, 2012 Update from the USA Mission Field

June was a wonderful month for Dawn and I on the USA mission field. Here is a brief list of some of the highlights from the month.

  • Numerous people received Jesus, baptized in the Holy Spirit, speak in tongues (See Acts 19:1-6.)
  • Homosexual man’s back pain healed
  • Prayed and prophesied over women at witchcraft store in the French Quarters
It’s Weird Here in New Orleans

Dawn and I led an outreach in New Orleans. People who are interested in learning how to do street ministry attended. We trained them up and activated them for ministry. We then took the team onto the streets.

While on the streets, we met Ryan. We were able to pray and prophecy over Ryan. He was so touched, he kept saying to us, “I want to cry.”

We were able to lead him through the sinner’s prayer, in which he received Jesus into his heart. Ryan then got filled with the Holy Spirit, and began speaking in tongues. After he was baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire (see Matthew 3:11), Ryan said, “Man, I feel so hot now. Look how sweaty I am.” The Holy Spirit really touched his life.

While we were walking around Jackson Square, a woman named, Debbie was highlighted. Debbie was reading tarot cards and palm reading.

I got a word of knowledge on her pertaining to a hurt knee. We walked up and said, “Excuse me. Do you have pain in your knee?”

Debbie looked at me and didn’t quite know how to respond. “Yes, I do. I have really bad pain in my right knee. In fact, I have degenerative bone disease and it is affecting my entire right side.”

I replied, “Well, we’re out praying for people. We’ve seen the Lord heal people on numerous occasions. Do you mind if we pray for you in the name of Jesus?”

Surprisingly, Debbie gave us permission. We pleaded the blood of Jesus over her. We then began to speak healing into her. We also began to prophesy over her, and tell her how much the Lord loves her.
Debbie then said, “I was a daughter of the devil for 20-years. I very recently stepped into the light. I’ve been meeting with my pastor lately. I have to take baby steps with this though. You don’t know what I have been involved in. If I get too much prayer at once, the demons go crazy. I start hearing voices, and I have to fight demons all night. Just by you being here right now, I feel the spirit of anger trying to flare up.”

We assured Debbie that, He who is in us is greater than he who is in the world. We told her that Jesus wanted to completely set her free from the tormentors. Debbie was appreciative of what we said, but not ready to take the next step. We blessed her and went our way.

We then met Randy. Randy claimed to have a relationship with Jesus, but he also had a lot of demonic mixture interlaced. Randy told us he would hang himself from meat hooks pierced through his flesh on certain “spiritual experiences.” We were able to prophesy over him in the name of Jesus, and released him into his God-given destiny.

Better than that of sons and daughters;
