The Money Has Failed

In the Book of Genesis, a severe famine struck the land. However, the devastation was revealed to an Epgytian Pharaoh through his dreams and interpreted by Joseph (Genesis 41:1-36). As the severity of the famine increased, the Egyptian’s economic system collapsed. The Bible says in Genesis 47:15, “So when the money failed in the land of Egypt and in the land of Canaan, all the Egyptians came to Joseph and said, ‘Give us bread, for why should we die in your presence? For the money has failed.’”

Many people believe the United States is headed towards an economic collapse. They see inflation out of control and gas prices reaching record highs. We might even hear the words in our lifetime, “The money has failed.”

However, there is good news. God never fails. Jesus said in Matthew 19:26c, “…With God all things are possible.” Now is the time to reassess your life. Do you really believe God is capable of providing for you and your family? Do you believe God is able? Peter caught a fish with a gold coin in its mouth (Matthew 17:27). Jesus multiplied bread and fish to feed thousands of people (Mathew 14:13-21).

I encourage you to draw near to God like never before. “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed” (Deuteronomy 31:8).
