Raising the Next Generation

After seeing the difficulties children face daily at their public schools, I prayed about how I might help the youth. My answer was to volunteer as a teacher with Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF). CEF is an international interdenominational Christian nonprofit organization that was founded in 1937. I have the great privilege to be able to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with over twenty 4th and 5th graders each week.

It is so important that the youth are taught solid Biblical morality and truth as they navigate the swarm of lies the world is throwing at them. I am able to share Bible stories and help them grow in their relationship with the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.

Not only am I teaching the Scriptures, but I am helping release the gifts God has placed inside of them. I am having students teach in front of the class to recap what I taught them from the Bible. Their five-fold gifts are coming alive. The Bible says in Ephesians 4:11-12 (NKJV): And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.

It is exciting to see the next generation of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers rising up. If you have a heart to help the youth, I would encourage you to look into volunteering at Child Evangelism.
