Old Vs. New

www.allsufficientgod.org

I AM the Holy Spirit. The old is available in the new. The Old Testament records numerous miracles We performed through people. For example, Elisha caused an iron ax head to float in water. (II Kings 6:4-7.) Elijah outran a horse-drawn chariot when Our hand came upon him. (I Kings 18:44-46.) We caused the Red Sea to part when Moses stretched out his hand. (Exodus 14:21-22.) These were all supernatural feats that We performed through people under the old covenant. You are now under the new covenant, and greater is in store for you.

Paul was inspired to write, "If the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory." (II Corinthians 3:7-9.) Under the new covenant, We dwell inside of you. You have access and permission in Us, to do greater miracles than everybody in the Old Testament. Start believing for it.

II Kings 6:4-7
4 So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees.  5 But as one was cutting down a tree, the iron ax head fell into the water; and he cried out and said, “Alas, master! For it was borrowed.”

6 So the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float.  7 Therefore he said, “Pick it up for yourself.” So he reached out his hand and took it.

I Kings 18:44-46
44 Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, “There is a cloud, as small as a man’s hand, rising out of the sea!” So he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.’”

45 Now it happened in the meantime that the sky became black with clouds and wind, and there was a heavy rain. So Ahab rode away and went to Jezreel.  46 Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.

Exodus 14:21-22
21 Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.  22 So the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea on the dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

II Corinthians 3:7-9
7 But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away,  8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious?  9 For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.
