Note: The following testimonies and photos are for the Glory of God and His Goodness. It is wonderful to partner with the Heavenly Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit to help people move from dark to light, bondage to freedom, and struggle to destiny.

King David is one of the most well-known characters in the Bible. He was the man who slew Goliath (1 Samuel 17). David killed both lions and bears (1 Samuel 17:36). He was skilled on the harp (1 Samuel 16:23). King David was also considered a man after God’s own heart (1 Samuel 13:14). As a result of his devotion to the Lord, he wrote over 40 psalms.
One of David’s more popular writings is Psalm 27. This psalm is an exuberant declaration of faith. The words of David are as relevant for us today as when he wrote them. I have extracted several verses for you to ponder.
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? 3 Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident. 5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock. 13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. 14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!
As followers of Jesus Christ, we need to be the example for the rest of the world to see. The promises in the Bible should give us hope and courage. As David said in verse 1, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?”
