I AM Holy Spirit. I want you to really get to know who I am. I am the One Jesus prayed to the Father to send. I am a Helper. I am the Spirit of truth. (John 14:16-17.) I am fully God, and part of the Holy Trinity. (Matthew 28:19.) Please do not neglect Me in your relationship with Us. You need Me in order to help you fulfill your royal destiny. I hope you see from the Bible how every believer needs Me to empower them.
The disciples spent day after day with Jesus. They walked, talked, and ministered with Jesus. The disciples followed Jesus watching Him perform miracle after miracle. However, when Jesus was betrayed and arrested in Gethsemane, all of Jesus' disciples forsook Him and fled. (Matthew 26:56.) Despite being in Jesus' inner circle, they were weak and fearful. Peter even denied knowing Jesus three times. (Matthew 26:69-75.)
Shortly following Jesus' death and resurrection, the disciples were filled with Me. (Acts 2:1-4.) The disciples immediately went from weak, fearful people to speaking with great boldness. (Acts 4:31.) I empowered them to perform mighty signs and wonders. (Acts 2:43, Acts 5:12, Acts 14:3.) They began to transform the world. I want to do the same for you, but you need to know Me in a deep personal way.
John 14:16-17
16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.
Matthew 28:19
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 26:56
56 "But all this was done that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.”
Then all the disciples forsook Him and fled.
Matthew 26:69-75
69 Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And a servant girl came to him, saying, “You also were with Jesus of Galilee.”
70 But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what you are saying.”
71 And when he had gone out to the gateway, another girl saw him and said to those who were there,
“This fellow also was with Jesus of Nazareth.”
72 But again he denied with an oath, “I do not know the Man!”
73 And a little later those who stood by came up and said to Peter, “Surely you also are one of them, for your speech betrays you.”
74 Then he began to curse and swear, saying, “I do not know the Man!”
Immediately a rooster crowed. 75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus who had said to him,
“Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.” So he went out and wept bitterly.
Acts 2:1-4
1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Acts 4:31
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
Acts 2:43
43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.
Acts 5:12
12 And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch.
Acts 14:3
3 Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.
